Meet Our Chef

 

Dean "Smoke" Schultz

Chef Smoke is from Bay City, Michigan and has been working at the Bay City Country Club for 33 years. He has worked as a salad preparer, a line cook, a baker, a manager, and a chef. As a part of his culinary preparation Smoke has trained under eight unique chefs. He has worked many charity events and parties here at the Club, and is known for his exquisite preparation of diverse cultural cuisines. Chef Smoke has received various accolades for his culinary work, including his recently awarded "Bay Area Top Chef-of-the-Year" by the Great Lakes Bay Area. In his spare time, Smoke enjoys hunting and fishing, and says he has always enjoyed working at the Bay City Country Club because it is always fun and exciting. "I have had the privilege of seeing multiple generations of families join and use the club, and I look forward to seeing more people enjoy themselves at various events throughout the upcoming years."
