Pool Staff
Matt McPhee is from Bay City, Michigan. He currently attends Saginaw Valley State University, and is majoring in Special Education, with minors in English and Physical Education. He is a senior, and will be student teaching in the Fall of 2011. Along with attending classes at Saginaw Valley State University, he also played football. Matt holds certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, Water Safety Instruction, and Lifeguard Instruction through the American Red Cross. With these certifications, he has had the opportunity to gain much experience working in pools, lifeguarding, teaching swim lessons, and certifying lifeguards.
“All of our pool staff are lifeguard certified. Also, to assure the safety of our pool visitors, no one on the pool staff is permitted to use any type of electronic device, including cell phones, except in the event of an emergency.”
